Barrwood Campsite

wh_green

In total the Barrwood covers an area of about 96 acres although about 25% of this is taken up with Plantations.  The rest is largely open woodland with about 50 designated camp sites.  Each of these has a location for an open fire and a number of positions suitable for patrol tents.
Normally, at weekends during the Camping Season, there is a Duty Warden who will allocate the camp site to be used although many of the local Scout Groups maintain their own preferred site.
